Job Description Project Officer | Pre-Polling Election Project Temp Contract, 17th Dec to 28th Jan with possible extension Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day From $35/hour + super, Brisbane CBD location Working for the Australian Electoral Commission, via Manpower, a temporary requirement exists for an experienced Project Officer to undertake a period of temporary contract work from Monday 17th December to Friday 21st December 2018, and then resuming work after the Christmas and New year compulsory shut down period, on the Monday 7th January to Friday 28th January 2019. This engagement may have a possible extension thereafter. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day. This short-term project will see you identifying large polling places (premises) and then organising for the premises to be set up to use for pre-polling voting (staffing, furniture, equipment, etc) when the election is called. Training will be provided on the job, but similar transferable skills will be well regarded. Other associated activities will be assigned as it relates to key election related activities. You will also be undertaking general administrative tasks, project management, application of computer skills including good data entry skills, and have the capacity to deliver some training. You will have a demonstrated commitment to building sustainable relationships with internal and external Candidates must be reliable and available for the full hours and period as noted on this advertisement.
