Our leading global client within the infrastructure industry is looking for a procurement officer to join their client onsite based in Parklea. You will be responsible for the coordination of the procurement process to ensure sufficient, high quality and cost-effective equipment and supplies are procured. The procurement officer will also be responsible for planning, developing, sourcing and managing procurement arrangements to maintain smooth operations within the centre.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement function for the site ensuring cost parameters and budgets are adhered to
    * Track spend and communicate risks and opportunities to management
    * Transactional requirement involving Accounts Payable function and Vendor management to ensure streamlined processing and improved efficiency
    * Ensure correct recording for cost allocation
    * Develop stock / purchasing forecasting model
    * Vendor contract management to ensure SLA delivery

To succeed in the role, you will need:

  • 3+ years experience within a procurement role
  • Experience working with SAP, Ariba & Excel
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Business or Procurement focused tertiary degree highly advantageous
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management experience
  • Detail orientated and extremely organized
  • Great time management skills with a proven ability working to tight deadlines
