In response to increasing demand, the CACC is launching a Toronto Committee and is now accepting expression of interest. Initially co-Chaired by the CACC local Board of Directors, Greg McNab & Ross Campbell, the intention of this Committee is to set a structure and foundation for all other activities within the Canadian (i.e. Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa, etc.) business community.

Greg McNab

DIRECTOR & CO-CHAIR

Greg McNab is a former mechanical engineer and partner in the Securities Group of the international law firm Baker & McKenzie’s Toronto office. Greg’s practice includes working with financial services, resource and energy companies both domestically and internationally, with a large portion of that work involving opportunities between Canada and Australia. Baker & McKenzie is one of the largest law firms in the world with offices all around the world in major finance centres.

Ross Campbell

Director & Co-Chair

Ross Campbell is the co-founder of the boutique advisory firm The MBO Group, helping managers acquire the companies that they work for (management buyouts). Ross has spent his entire career either investing in, or advising to, private companies on growth, acquisitions and ownership successions with career experience as a commercial banker, asset-based lender, royalty financer and private equity investor as co-founder of Norvest Capital Partners. He has sat on numerous private company boards and advisory committees and is the past trustee and Chair, Audit Committee of a TSE listed REIT.

Melissa Wharton

CEO & Committee Support

As CEO of the CACC, Mel is charged with promoting trade & investment between Australia & Canada. With a team of 30 volunteers situated across both continents, Mel works closely with the business community from start ups to large corporates and government agencies. Further, the CACC is committed to developing the Youth Mobility Program (working holiday visa) which sees roughly 9,000 young professionals traverse between both countries gaining invaluable international experiences. Originally from Vancouver, Mel lived in Toronto before relocating to Melbourne, Australia in 2007.

Brandon Roy

Brandon Roy is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who currently manages RBC’s Enterprise Project Risk Management program. Brandon has more than 10 years of experience in finance, internal audit and risk management. Brandon prides himself on learning and continuous improvement and strives to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships. Outside of work, Brandon enjoys learning how different cultures operate in a professional and non-professional environment, traveling, sports and he loves animals

Anthony Naimo brings more than 15 years of global marketing communications, content marketing and public relations experience. Throughout his career, Anthony has developed multi-disciplined, strategic marketing communications campaigns for global B2B and B2C brands across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. As the Canadian Marketing Manager for Axis Communications, Anthony creates unique, customer-centric campaigns that drive engagement, increase awareness and augment credibility. Anthony is an active member of the Axis Communications North American Diversity & Inclusion Committee, passionate to help drive change in traditionally male-dominated industries.

Nona Sichinava

EVENTS LIAISON

Nona Sichinava brings 15 years of comprehensive international experience in research, policy, project management and consultancy roles in private, public and NGO sectors. As a General Manager Research at Swann Global, a Melbourne- headquartered talent consultancy firm focusing on the natural resources sector, Nona has been advising multiple Australian and Canadian mining companies on human capital. Her interests range from developing young talent, technology/ AI impact on HR practices to space exploration.

Simon Selkrig

Simon Selkrig is President of Strategize Financial Modelling Inc. He has worked extensively with several companies in a number of financial, management and strategic positions. Simon has extensive experience working in industry and with clients in sectors such as financial services, real estate, energy and utilities, oil and gas, technology, property, retail and transportation.

Liz Tomkins

CREATIVE INDUSTRIES LIAISON

Liz Tomkins is a film and television producer based in Toronto. Liz works with Dicentium Films, an Australian media company that creates high-end genre content. Liz regularly attends international creative industries events such as the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and the Frontieres Film Market. In 2016, she founded Middle 8 Media which is a boutique film marketing company specialising in international promotions and representation.

Melinda Henderson

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE OBSERVER

Melinda Henderson is an award-winning communications Professional, innovator and employee engagement strategist. Melinda started her career with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as a journalist and has gained experience throughout her career in the legal, education and financial services sectors. She has worked for the Royal Bank of Canada since 2004, including diverse roles in Canadian Banking, RBC Insurance, Corporate Communications and Human Resources. In 2019, Melinda won a Gold Quill Award of Excellence from the International Association of Business Communicators.
