Fellow members of the Melbourne business community and supporters of the CACC to meet both Paul Maddison and Angela Bogdan during their joint visit to Melbourne.
Paul Maddison holds concurrent accreditation as High Commissioner to Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. He also holds concurrent accreditation as Ambassador to the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Palau. He began his current assignment upon arrival in Canberra in August 2015.
Mr. Maddison served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 37 years, retiring in 2013 at the rank of Vice Admiral and from the position of Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy. Between 2013 and 2015, Paul was Strategic Advisor to the Co-CEO of Clairvest Group Inc., a private equity firm, as well as Vice President Global Operations for the Momentum Aviation Group, and its Canadian subsidiary MAG Logistics. He also created Paul Maddison Consulting Inc., which offered strategic advice focusing on smart multi-national defense and security procurement solutions.
Angela Bogdan is a career diplomat and Canada’s current Consul General in Sydney, Australia. Prior to taking her current position, Ms. Bogdan was Chief of Protocol for Canada and before that served as Inspector General. She has also been Champion for Women at Global Affairs Canada (GAC) for the past 6 years. Abroad, Ms. Bogdan has served as High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Ambassador to the Former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Political Counsellor in Warsaw, Deputy Political Advisor at Canada's Mission to NATO, and as Vice-Consul in Melbourne.
