The Outlook for the Australian Economy - Near Term Challenges Amid Longer Term Strengths

This seminar is presented by Su-Lin Ong, a Director of RBC Capital Markets and the Senior Economist & Fixed Income Strategist for Australia and NZ.

She is responsible for RBC’s macroeconomic outlook, cash rate view and bond yield forecasts. Based in RBC’s Sydney office which is the trading hub of its Asia Pacific operations, Su-Lin supports the local capital markets operation as well as its key offices in Toronto, NY, London, and HK. Prior to joining RBC in 1998, Su-Lin was a fixed income economist for Hambros Bank and prior to that worked as an economic advisor at the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet. She is a Director of Business Spectator, Executive Member of The Australian Business Economists, and a member of the Securities Institute. She holds a BEc from the University of Sydney and Post Graduate in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
